PKF Corporate Recovery and Insolvency | Principal

Steve Lawrence

Steve has a long and distinguished career in the insolvency field, spanning 30 years. He spent approximately ten years with the Official Assignee’s Office and then moved into the private sector with insolvency firm, Ferrier Hodgson. He was the Liquidations Manager there for some thirteen years, setting up the department from scratch.

Steve then went to McDonald Vague for two and a half years, continuing to focus on liquidations and receiverships. Steve joined PKF Corporate Recovery in 2005.

Steve has worked on a number of high-profile assignments over his time. He was the joint Liquidator of the parent company of the Blue Chip Group of Companies and was the first liquidator in New Zealand to have powers recognised by the Australian courts.

Steve has strong interpersonal skills that enable him to get the best out of people under difficult circumstances. While he enjoys the “hands-on” approach to the assignments he runs, Steve thrives on the many challenges insolvency assignments have to offer.
